State and Federal Tax Credits reduce ROI.
1KWH Grid Connected Photovoltaic System: This is the best way to get started, a 1 KWH system. The system produces 1 kilowatt of power for each hour the sun is up on a clear day. Here in the sunny south we can expect to see 268 day of clear sky. In the winter time we get about 5 hours of sun a day and 10 in the summer. It is estimated we could get as much as 2250 KWH per year from a 1 KWH system. The most important part is the production in the peak hours of the summer when energy cost are at their highest price. Summer peak rates can be 20 to 35 cents per KWH depending on your energy supplier.
Installation will take 1 business day with no interruption of power. The upfront cost is $9,999.00 Installed. Tax credit is 5500 for residential and 6500 for commercial. Installations vary by design. Systems can be installed on the ground, on poles or on a building.
Your savings on your electric bill will vary by use, but this system should cover 15% of your cost from the first day residential. This small system returns $350.00 per year. It will also add to the value of your building about 130% of cost to install. Making the installation of photovoltaics the best return for your remodeling dollar.

The State of Georgia contributes to the installation of a grid connected photovoltaic system by a 35% Tax Credit and laws requiring all power companies to allow the Photovoltaic systems connection to the Power grid and to pay Photovoltaic power producers at the commercial rate. Many states don't require the power company to allow connection nor require them to pay you.
Solar Hot Water System: State and Federal Tax Credits cover upto 65 % of the cost to install. These systems are the simplest idea of the solar revolution. Put water in tubes out in the sun and circulate the water into the house. There is no limit on the amount of hot water you can produce. With the addition of a radiant home heating system your winter heating cost will be reduced. On a clear winter day the water can reach over 160 degrees F. Heating your water and warming your home.
A solar hot water system in conjunction with a photovoltaic system has the greatest bang for the buck. Your hot water heater’s electric demand is cut by 70% and you will be producing power from the PV system. Reduction in demand and power creation is the key to reducing our demand for oil. Pricing for solar hot water systems depends on the size of the system you want. Prices start at $4000.00 for the installed system. Your after tax cost of the $4000.00 system is less than 1500.00, RIO is 4yrs.

The system shown here is a commercial solar hot water heater. This system can provide up to 245 degree water. It can replace industrial boilers like those used at sugar refineries and paper mills.

Solar Tube Lighting: Bring the sunshine in doors. A water tight clear tube installed on your roof into your room will bring enough light in to the room you will not need to turn on the lights in that room. What better way to reduce energy demand then to not use it at all. The tubes take about two hours to install and you will see the results immediately.
In some cases a florescent light can be installed in the same housing so that you receive light from the same fixture. Prices start at 399.00 installed.

Reduction in green house gases has become a greater part of the equation this year and will be for many generations ahead. We just need to do our part and let the other generations fend for themselves, like we are. We can start small with appliances that will change what form of energy we use. Let's face it, we like to use energy. We want all the power we can get, because we create with it. Using the sun and water for power is not new. We have used the sun and water for power in our ancient history. It was just as expensive then as it is now. Those people, in that time, with the means to cover the expense of harnessing the power of the sun and water lived very comfortable lives for that time. We have much better ways to get power from the sun and water in this day and we should put it to use, if for no other reason then because we can. But as we all know we now have addition reasons to use the sun and water to make our lives comfortable.

Let us install a solar appliance for your today.

The simplest and most efficient use of sun light. Get a $50.00 discount when you have two installed at the same time. This special starts July 15th. 2008

Solar lighting has a 10% tax credit for residentail and commercial.

2KWH Grid Connected Photovoltaic System: Adding to the one kilowatt system is easy. All systems are upgradable. The second KW of your photovoltaic system bings the installed cost down. Adding just $8000.00 to the 1 KW installed system. With tax credits the a residential installation has a ROI of just 12.1 years. The commercial RIO is just under 3yrs. Money for installation of alternative energy systems is easy to get.
3KWH Grid Connected Photovoltaic System:
Upgrading to a 3KW system will further reduce your yearly cost of electric power. This system, for most, will reduce your monthly expense for electric power by 50% residential. It will make a major impact on the enviroment by reducing greenhouse gases by 1.5 million pounds. When you get your electric vehicle it will produce enough power to keep you going for at least 25 years.
4KWH Grid Connected Photovoltaic System: This system is for the people looking to cover all of their power needs with a photovoltaic system. This system will produce in the 8000 KWH range per year. This is the system for most people. At this size system you cover completly your monthy energy bill if your monthly average is 100.00 a month. The installed upfront cost is $38,000.00 after tax credit your ROI is less then 1 yr when you include the value added to your property.
5KWH Grid Connected Photovoltaic System:
This system requires at least 540 square feet of space. Only large homes and or commercial building will have enough room for this size system. For commercial application this size system is the "best bang for the buck." It shows your concern about the environment and pays you to have it. Would you rather pay taxes or would you rather have your taxes help pay you?

This is a solar tube installed in a home in Savannah GA.,

Our installation took about two hours and the results were amazing. The light was so brigh it made the lamp on the table look like it was on.

This installation in the kitchen , also a home in Savannah replaced an existing old fashion skylight. The new solar tube shown here put out 4 times the light of the old fashion skylight. At a cost of about $600.00 we installed the solar tube light and refinished the ceiling. The ceiling is still wet in this picture.
